Melchior Aiyemoni KAPAITH

Mel was born in Sissano, PNG where his family was taking shelter in the jungle during World War Two battles nearby. He met his wife, Judi while they were teaching at nearby schools. After Independence, the family moved from Port Moresby to Vanimo where Mel worked as Provincial Planner. Later, he took the job of Liasion Officer working with landowners, the government and the Forestry Company. When he retired, he came to live permanently with his family in Brisbane. He never got used to winter time and kept his heater running. He welcomed ten grandchildren who were the delight of his life. We are missing him greatly. May God be merciful to him and may he rest in peace.
